Rosemary Woodhouse

Since I'm pregnant (and sick with a cold) I thought it was a great opportunity to dress as Rosemary this year. Read about the Criterion release here, see some curios in honor of the film I've posted here, and see some fantastic paintings of Rosemary's costumes here.

He's Like The Wind

I was sorely in need of a pick-me-up today and this did the trick.  The only thing better than Michael McDonald is Rick Moranis doing Michael McDonald.

Little Camera, Little Photographer

I was inspired to make my own version of Laurie Simmons's Big Camera / Little Camera when I found my own mini camera recently.  Sort of captures how I feel about my own stature, both in height and achievement.   Prints and cards are available at my shop.

Thrown for a Loop

I'm so happy a film was able to take up the mantle of my worship this fall since The Master failed me a bit. So many films I've fallen hard for have compelled others to walk out of the theater; that's what happened during our screening of Looper. Maybe the motion was too much for them: Looper is kinetic in the best sense, elegantly braiding so many elements and ideas together that it truly is epic. Really, though, I can't say it any better than this, or celebrate it any better than by sharing these paintings by Zachary Johnson (who happens to be the brother of the film's mastermind Rian Johnson).
