Maybe it's because I was, and am, an art school nerd, but I've always spent as much time creating the packaging of my mixtapes as choosing the tunes. I never took to Muxtape during its first iteration because the streamlined interface made all the mixes look the same. So it's no surprise that I'm digging The Designers Mixtape, a Brazilian-born site that asks designers from around the world to share a short mix and an image. My cds sit neatly in the little side-cubbies of my car and they are, by far, the most stylish thing! Getting a package from you is a treat just in the process of opening up the wrapping...it's truly a gift! (I cut out the birdie and tree from my last package and they are proudly displayed in what will be little Rhys' room)
