The hubby is out of town, so tonight I'll be cozying up to the chick flick I Could Never Be Your Woman with the cherubic Paul Rudd. I would invite TADA san and friends if I could.
Update: This scene was really the whole movie, as far as I'm concerned.

Linus van Pelt

I went thrifting with my friend Loretta this weekend, and she found the best vintage Snoopy and the Red Baron book for her son (kinda like this one, also in fancy full color). This got me thinking about how much I loved Peanuts growing up, and how I totally identified with Lucy (I also have a violent streak and don't like being licked), but I think Linus is my favorite character. So I'm loving this painting of the little philosopher by Gracie Weinrib.

Milk and Conchords

I was so inspired by Mel's singing cookies that I decided to make my own edible Brets and Jemaines to celebrate the season finale this Sunday. And I tried to make Jemaine's lips just as prominent as she did.

Camerawork

One of my favorite teddy bears, Michael Stipe, was on Jimmy Fallon's show last week. In addition to sporting a fantastic beard and smiling with his eyes, he presented Jimmy with one of his bronze camera sculptures. Apparently he makes them of cassette tapes, too. Me want one!

Dance, Dance, Dance

Carson Daly gives me hives, so the only times he is on my television are when (1) I'm already asleep, or (2) he has a great guest. Last night I was up till the wee hours with the frat boy because his guest was Lykke Li. I first caught her music one night on Conan with my husband, and we thought, what is this, Sprockets? But then I explored her music on the web and now I am in love with this little sultry Swede. If you like your pop music funneled through a megaphone, buy her album. You won't regret it. Forever Blue
I'm pretty excited about Chris Isaak being on TV again. Even if the show only involved Chris and Kenney really bored on their couch, I would keep it on a 24-hour-a-day loop on my television (preferably a magically functional retro TV). I want them at my dinner party. My only tweak: I think Chris' set could use the addition of this painting by William Bezek.
