Our little enfant terrible has decided that swaddling is so passé. She escapes from the bonds every time, like Houdini (maybe I'll incorporate some Kate Bush into the lullaby routine). I promise I won't try the second option in Derek Erdman's swaddle painting, even if I want to sometimes.

Oh the swaddling days... those were rough times! Clover was a colicky newborn.
Our neighbors gave us the "Happiest Baby on the Block" DVD and we used that swaddling technique which worked pretty well, I think the trick was having a stretchy enough blanket and wrapping and tucking it really tight.
Ah yes. Swaddling. My girls were having none of it. (Obvs, Miz L is ahead of the game!) This little doohickie saved my (our) lives and I'd still use it today if it were at all possible!

Missa, we just watched that DVD today! Amd she is currently sleeping in her moses basket because of the tips.
Nannette, I have a sling just like that and it has been a lifesaver.
