Dolan Geiman may live in Chicago, but his head is in the South. So I guess it is no surprise that I love his artwork, described as "contemporary art with a southern accent." He makes wonderful rescued wood constructions and mixed-media work, all available at his etsy store.

i could swear, dolan, you were at kentuck last year, no?
alexa: be forewarned, though: kentuck is dangerous for your checkbook. i think i spent $300 in the first hour i was there last year. granted, i came home with many treasures, but it's definitely something you'll want to plan ahead for, if you know what i mean.
I'll start saving for next year then. Otherwise we could be in trouble ;)
